It’s Fall Ya’ll

While the change of seasons means different things to everyone, I enjoy heading into the "Florida Fall Season" because the morning temperatures become a bit cooler and the days inch into becoming a bit shorter. The days still offer warmth and plenty of sunshine, but you can just feel a change in the air. New Smyrna Beach experienced about 20 sweater weather days last year with the temperature below 72 degrees... It was great! And of course, you can't talk about the fall without mentioning "All Things Pumpkin Spice". This is were my baking skills shine. I love to bake up pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies, and mix up a libation or two with apple cider and pumpkin spice (for any of my recipes, email! I'll be glad to share). In our household we eat seasonally fresh foods and as much as we can we shop local markets, flea markets and farmers markets. Florida's seasonal fare is much to get excited about. Right now and for the next several months, we can find a large variety of shellfish, juicy citrus fruits, delicious and nutritious veggies and more (click here for what's in season: followfreshfromflorida.com) making for a great fall season of food.

It's also time to ramp up and get a good fall cleaning under way. Fall cleaning is spring cleaning's counterpart. There are no hard or fast rules for autumn cleaning, and the task list will vary based on the needs of your household, but it is best practice to keep up your home seasonally to prevent small messes from snowballing. To prevent the snowball effect from happening at your home, give me a call. We can coordinate a plan to work for you and you will not be disappointed.

Until next time,
